Iíd like to set the record straight, as I have been inundated with requests for financial support from all around the world, in light of the recent press about me giving my money away.
I will be giving my money away Ė thatís a fact Ė but not at the moment. Iíve always said that I donít want to die rich - itís mentioned in my book íBusiness As Unusualí Ė first published in 2000.
What I am going to do is set up a charitable foundation, through which donations will be made to groups and individuals that show leadership in the areas of global justice, human rights, environmental action and grassroots organising. But we wonít be accepting unsolicited requests.

I love your ways and attitude, my husband and I don't have much, but feel fortunate, in fact he wrote a book and gives a percentage of each one that he sells to a non profit, i do fashion shows as fundraisings events all of the time, and now I'm working on a coffee-table book of Ethical Fashions- Re-using trash- and Healthy Body Images, and I might send out to you my proposal, NO To Get Money, just for a review and maybe recomendation of any publisher that'll be willing to help us publising it up, since we are also planing to give a percentage of it to an educational organization down in Argentina, and the photographer working with me in this project thinks the same way.
Thanks for being an inspiration!

It is a noble gesture to help others in this material crazy world - like giving money away. I wish I could do it as well. It is my dream and my grandparents' intention too. But unfortunately for the last 8 years I got myself into a rut and find it difficult to get out. Only a miracle could help. Two years back I faced a family tragedy where some members committed something best not to mention here. I am glad to see / hear of of knights ( traditional and modern - guys and gals ) offering help without anything in return.Other than money perhaps with your knowledge, influence and positive attitude, you could
offer some other ways or lifeline, like details of mental attitude, power of influences, small business aids, anecdotes of personal experiences etc. ( software and hardware ) to help the many unfortunate people to overcome their financial difficulties.
As I have often heard " Give a person a fish and the person eats for a day, teach the person how to fish and the person shall eat for a lifetime " ( attributed to the Chinese sage Confucius ).
Thanks and I have used some bodyshop products long ago, but not currently.

I'm glad you haven't croaked yet, and I mean that in a very flattering way (!) because the world needs more people like you to wake them up and make them active and useful in humanity! I'm hoping to do something for my folk's native land of PARAGUAY and hope I have a proposal juicy enough for you to see the advantages of contributing! It is a paradise unknown, detained by ignorance, poverty, and corruption. Peace!

I admire the Heart of those who truly live what God intended for us we are suppose to be doers not just hearers.
Jesus showed his love through actions and truly the Love of God is being shared abroad in your heart. It has to be God for a human being to deny thier own self to help others. I wrote out a list of things I would like to do as well. I pray everyday that God blesses my business so I can build home for homeless teenagers and apartment buildings for people who have been imprisoned and need direction on how to change their life.
I have everything written out I just have to make my business work to put into action. I believe when God says its time it will happen. I was a homeless teenager and I had legal problems before. I didn't have anyone except God to help me. People treated me terrible because of the mistakes I made in life. I was treated like a criminal although I really didn't commit the offense I was accused of. I plead guilty out of fear and ignorance. When I realized what I had done by pleading guilty it was to late it was a misdeanor, but it felt like a felony. I couldn't find a job, but I never gave up. God blessed me to get one job after another wher I could help other people get jobs and other resources they needed.
I don't have money but what I have I give. I have an education and knowledge of a lot of other resources so I give that. I give my time and my home to people in need.
I want to give the love I didn't receive, but desparately needed. I want people to know anyone can change if they really want to and if they do what it takes to change. S ometimes people lose everything to gain everthing. Love is everything.

I think it's nice for you to be so giving. Do you plan on doing anything for the cancer society, mainly for children with cancer. I notice everyone gives mostly for Aids and HIV and that's nice but children with cancer get left out and forgotten. It's a disease they get not by being careless or innocent victims of those who were, they just do. The cost for treatment are tremendous and we receive little help if any so we're left in dect fighting for our children to live, and then they die anyway. My daughter died of Wilm's Tumor (kidney cancer). She was diagnosed at age 3 1/2 and died 13 days after her 6th birthday. It would be nice if something could be done in her memory for all children fighting this horrible disease. You can view kids on cancerkids.org where I did a memorial to her.
Thank you in for everything you do. You have an interesting history and you will be remebered.

Hi, just a little comment regarding Bill Gates.. He and his wife has set up Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with a $29 billion fund, making it the largest charity in the world. But I also agree that there are to many rich people out there who are being too selfish!
So well done Anita, for being so selfless!

Thank you for setting a great example. You seem to have found a nice balance in your desire to put your resources to work for a better future for all and in your ability to sidestep a global avalanche of need that has the potential to smother the idea of patronage and noble intentions.
For those who have decided that they can't make a difference unless they can find someone to bankroll their mission, I offer another example for you and your audience.
Worldwide Peace Marker Project enters its third year with no corporate, organizational or institutional patronage behind its success. In fact, nothing would be more likely to sabotage the project than most of these kinds of affiliations. Instead, a new "operating system" has been activated that is proving to be sufficient to grow a global model of worldwide peace that is cost-effective and "clean" enough from compromising affiliations. Unencumbered, WPMP remains free enough to fit into all the cultures of 198 nations of the world.
For all who think that they are powerless to change the world unless they secure additional resources and outside funding, please know that "more money" may not be the only solution.
To learn more about the project visit WPMPnet.

Anita, it is appalling what people ask for. You have given more to this world than most people. I used to work for the charitable giving department of The Arizona Republic (Arizona's main newspaper).
As a citizen of this planet, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done.
